FRESNO – Detectives located an unoccupied 2008 Pontiac G6 that had been reported as stolen. As is often the case in situations like this, they decided to wait and watch.
Soon the vehicle was occupied by a man and a woman, and detectives followed it briefly.

Then, at the area of Thesta and Belmont, they stopped the car and the pair were were taken into custody.
26-year-old gang member Eric Johnson was on felony probation for auto theft, and was then booked for another felony auto theft charge as well as probation violation.
24-year-old Jasmine Jackson was also arrested for felony auto theft charges.
