Search Warrant Leads to Shooting Arrest

MIRANDA — On January 24th at around 7:06 AM, HCSO investigators and members of the Humboldt County SWAT team arrived at a residence in the 1200 block of Felt Road with a search warrant.

Two subjects were detained at the residence, one of whom was 36-year-old Casey Floyd Felt, who was shortly thereafter arrested when it was discovered he was wanted in connection to the shooting of a 24-year-old woman on Thursday, January 19th.

He was taken into custody without incident and housed at the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of domestic violence, assault with a firearm, shooting at an inhabited dwelling/vehicle, felon in possession of a firearm, and an outstanding warrant related to driving on a suspended license. His bail is set at $110,000.
