Juvenile in Court Arrested as Suspect in Another Crime

PLEASANTON – A 16-year-old boy  was arrested a second time—for allegedly committing another crime—while waiting for his court date concerning his first arrest. He’s in custody at Alameda County Juvenile Hall.

The teenager was appearing in court on January 9 concerning a car that was stolen from the Concord BART train station, subsequent car chase, and his arrest by Pittsburg police.

Pleasanton police waited and arrested the same juvenile in court, as a suspect involving an armed robbery, which occurred in the parking lot at Stoneridge Shopping Center on December 20. A woman was robbed that day at gunpoint, but not injured.

Moments after the robbery occurred, police received a call about a suspicious car in the vicinity, but the license plate was from a car reported stolen from Concord. This information helped police track down the juvenile, but another suspect connected with the shopping center robbery remains at large, police said.
