SALINAS — Police have arrested 30-year-old Javier Gonzalez of Salinas for driving under the influence of alcohol on Friday, December 23rd.

Police had come upon Gonzalez and found that he’d struck a parked car with his own and ended up on the sidewalk. As they approached, they could smell alcohol.

Another person also came forward and informed officers that Gonzalez had struck other vehicles one street over on Chaparral, one of which had been forced into the wall of a home on the 300 block. Indeed, three cars had sustained major damage.

Gonzalez claimed to have had only one beer.

He was booked into Monterey County Jail on four counts of hit-and-run while driving under the influence.
