Hit and run occurred here
NORTH HOLLYWOOD – A bouncer punched a man in the face twice, and the ensuing fall put him into the street where a hit and run driver struck and killed him.
It began after midnight on December 15th on the 6600 block of Lankershim Boulevard. 47-year-old Apollo Rodriguez was outside of a bar when Arieta resident Ernest Shawn Reyes, 34 and a bouncer at the Star Garden, punched him in the face.

Rodriguez got up and was hit a second time. He then fell onto the street, where a vehicle travelling north on Lankershim hit him and continued driving.
The offending vehicle is a black, four door sedan with tinted windows.
Rodriguez subsequently died and Reyes was arrested for murder, with his bail set at $1 million.
