PETALUMA — On December 18th at around 4 PM, PPD officers responded to Lucchessi Park after reports of an altercation between two men.

The victim, who was not injured, reported that a man he didn’t know had come up to him and stolen his tablet computer at knifepoint, then fled on foot.

Later that day, officers noticed a man in the 100 block of Madison Street who matched the description of the robbery suspect. When contacted, the subject tried to provide false identification but was eventually identified as 23-year-old Daniel Lemos, who happened to be on active parole.

A parole search was conducted and the victim’s property found (as well as the knife used during the robbery). The victim later positively identified Lemos as his attacker.

Lemos was arrested for parole violation, robbery, and providing false identification. He is currently housed at Sonoma County Jail.
