$500,000 Embezzlement from Concrete Company

On December 1st, a woman was accused of embezzling over $500,000 from her company.

According to the report, she had been stealing funds from the company, Betz Concrete, for several years. During that time she was purportedly managing business accounts for the company.

A bank representative noticed some suspicious activity within the account and proceeded to notify the employer, who then contacted Escondido police. Detectives were able to link the suspect to the missing funds.

The suspect was identified as Sheila Jo Jackson, 46. She was arrested on Wednesday, November 30 in her home in Temecula.

Jackson was charged for over 50 counts of forgery, with grand theft, identity theft, and embezzlement.

Her bail was set at $1.1 million.
