Homeowner Threatens Visitor with Shotgun

LODI — On December 10th at approximately 10:57 AM, officers arrived at a residence in the 1000 block of Laurel Avenue after reports of a gunshot.

A witness and the victim made contact with the officers and told them the victim had been visiting someone who lived at the home when the owner, identified as 56-year-old Steven Meidinger, confronted him with a shotgun. The victim fled the residence and was fired at twice, though fortunately not struck.

The victim then flagged down a motorist and the two notified police.

Meidinger surrendered to officers on scene.
