Soccer Coach Arrested on Sex Charges Involving a Minor

John W Graham

NEWARK – Soccer coach John W. Graham was arrested November 4th at his home by Newark Police on multiple charges — all related to alleged sexual relations with a girl who is a minor.

Graham was charged with six felonies, including having sex with a minor, oral copulation with a minor, and sexual penetration of a minor with a foreign object. He was booked at Fremont Jail for $720,000 bail.

He was taken into custody after the teenage girl told her parents about Graham and the police were notified. Graham was cooperative and police said he provided a statement to detectives corroborating the allegations made by the girl.

A police investigation is continuing with the cooperation of staff at the Finesse Soccer Academy and the Newark Soccer Club, to determine whether there were any more victims.

Graham is co-owner of the soccer academy and a consultant with the soccer club, police said.
