LOWER LAKE – As an NTF plane flew routinely overhead it spotted a large marijuana grow in the 22000 block of Morgan Valley Road.

On the ground authorities came with a search warrant on October 12th.  Two Hispanic males attempted to flee but were shortly thereafter apprehended.  They were identified as 29-year-old Juan Alvarez and 33-year-old Apolinar Contreras.

61-year-old Jorge Padilla did not attempt to run and was detained on scene of the operation.

 

Detectives discovered a commercial metal building full of processed marijuana. Over 1000 pounds of marijuana in total was confiscated.

Later, 46-year-old Eduardo Carillo of Santa Rosa arrived at the grow site and was also arrested.
