Upset About His Drugs, He Attacks

Corey Duane Childress, in a 2012 mugshot

FRESNO – The peaceful early morning hours on Wednesday September 28 were interrupted by the obvious sounds of fighting, punctuated by shots fired.

Police arrived and encountered a 47-year-old victim, with a gash on his head, outside.  He stated that his wound came from his daughter’s 25-year-old boyfriend, Corey Duane Childress.  Said attack included at least one gunshot.

Childress was nowhere to be found, having fled in a 2015 Chevolet Cruze.

In brief, the argument began when Childress accused the victim of putting Ajax in his bong, and the verbal argument became physical.

At press time Childress is still on the loose.  He is considered armed and dangerous.

Police ask for info to be called in to 498-STOP.  If an arrest is made, any helpful callers will receive a cash award.
