Traffic Stop Nets Drugs, Cash, Guns

Police display confiscated guns, cash and drugs

The Atascadero Police arrested three men on Monday for allegedly possessing narcotics and firearms.

According to APD, an officer initiated a traffic stop on northbound US 101 Santa Rosa exit. There were three men in the vehicle. During the contact, the officer discovered the driver of the vehicle did not possess a driver’s license. The officer discovered one of the men was on probation.

When APD officers arrived on the scene, they conducted a search of the vehicle. During the search, officers found cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, cash, ammunition and several firearms.

According to APD, one of the firearms was reported stolen in burglary in San Luis Obispo County. All three suspects were transported and booked into county jail.

The total street value of the narcotics combined is estimated to be nearly $10,000.

John Allen Webb Jr, 27, of Atascadero was charged with conspiracy to commit crime, possession of a controlled substance with a firearm, two counts of possession of a controlled substance for sale and two counts of transporting narcotics for sale. His bail was set at $50,000.

Travis Thomas King, 31, of Atascadero and Eric Lee Juhl, 30, of Templeton were charged with violation of felony probation, conspiracy to commit crime, possession of a controlled substance with a firearm, two counts of possession of a controlled substance for sale and two counts of transporting narcotics for sale. King’s bail was set at $65,000 and Juhl’s at $50,000.
