Man Wanted for Murdering Girlfriend While Visiting Friends

A couple from Phoenix, AZ were visiting friends in San Diego at the Allie Gardens apartments. What happened during their vacation was not anticipated. It was at this time that the female victim was found not breathing on June 10th at around 1:30 p.m. When the San Diego PD responded, the victim was pronounced dead.

The suspect in connection with the murder is believed to be 32-year-old Raymond McLeod, the boyfriend of the victim. She was identified as 30-year-old Krystal Mitchell.

According to the report, McLeod fled in “a white, four-door Lexus or Infinity.” Homicide detectives believe that he left the vehicle at the California-Mexico border, where he might have left the country and is  possibly residing somewhere in Mexico.

McLeod is a former Marine and may have access to weapons, police fear.

McLeod’s description was reported as “a White male, 32-years-old, 5’11” tall, weighing 245 lbs, with multiple tattoos on both of his arms. He also goes by the nickname of ‘RJ'”.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward to anybody that possesses information that will help lead to an arrest for this case.
