Pot Farmer Arrested in Oakhurst

A man was arrested in Oakhurst following the discovery of a marijuana grow on Oakhurst.

According to the official media report released by the Madera County Department of Corrections, 56-year-old Sanford Oliver Sapp was arrested by deputies of the Madera County Sheriff’s Office for possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana for sale, cultivation of marijuana, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Oakhurst is a town located on Highway 41 en route to Yosemite National Park.

According to MCDC records, Sapp’s bail has been set at $2,750,000. He is being held at the MCDC jail.
