Teacher Arrested for Child Molestation

The San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Office arrested a man for allegedly molesting a child. The arrest occurred on Tuesday in Los Osos.

According to the sheriff’s office, suspect, Jeremiah Linzie Blackwell, 42, of Los Osos was suspected of child molestation that occurred in Los Osos.

The sheriff’s office had originally received a report naming the suspect.

The investigation revealed Blackwell had contact with the female victim sometime between January and March of 2016 at a home in Los Osos.

Blackwell is a teacher at San Antonio Elementary School in Lockwood, which is located in in southern Monterey County.
Investigators state the crime did not involve a student of the school nor did it happen on the campus of the school.

Blackwell was contacted on Tuesday and was arrested on a charge of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 years old.

Detectives believe there may be other victims based on their investigation and are asking for the public’s help in identifying any other potential victims in this case by calling the sheriff’s office at 781-4500.
