Santa Barbara – The Santa Barbara Police Department’s Narcotics Unit, working closely with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and with the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office has apparently caught the “Spring Cleaning” fever when it comes to putting a particular class of criminals behind bars.

According to SBPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Riley Harwood, Narcotics Unit undercover cops have been making drug and firearms purchases since late last year.

Since November 2015, detectives “facilitated contacts at various locations throughout the City of Santa Barbara” with suspects who became party to a series of “illicit transactions” having to do with controlled substances and illegal guns.
