MORGAN HILL — The Morgan Hill Police Department is reporting the arrest of two women who were seen stealing mail form a local apartment complex.

The theft was reported by the complex manager at around 1:20 a.m. on March 29, 2016. As MHPD police responded to the Murphy Ranch apartments located on the 300 block of East Dunne Avenue, the manager told the arriving officers that they had seen multiple women trying to open mailboxes.

MHPD officers located the women, one of whom hid in the bushes. They have since been identified as 37-year-old Fleitcha Johnson and 36-year-old Myisha Johnson, from San Jose.

Once taken into custody, Fleitcha Johnson told officers that her name was Latasha Judge. However, her real name was discovered after fingerprints revealed her true identity while being booked into jail.

According to police, both women were booked on possession of burglary tools, mail theft, felony vandalism, and outstanding warrants.
