Surveillance Footage Spots Storage Unit Thieves (Video)

SAN JOSE — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating two burglary suspects, shown on surveillance video trying to steal items from multiple padlocked garage storage units.

The burglary occurred on February 21 at approximately 6 A.M. at a garage storage unit in the 2800 block of S. Bascom Avenue, police say. Surveillance footage from the scene shows two male subject breaking padlocks and a separate surveillance camera in order to prevent being identifying.

The suspect is shown entering the facility and attempting to open a door near the entryway, then walk towards one of the cameras to dismantle it. Another suspect is shown attempting to remove padlocks from multiple doors.

One of the suspects is also alleged to have forced open a lock on the storage unit’s side doors before stealing two bicycles.
