Madera Laborer Arrested for Attempted Murder

An arrest has been made of a laborer for an alleged violent crime on Sunday.

According to the official media report released by the Madera County Department of Corrections, Carlos Arreola, 24, was booked on charges of burglary and attempted murder. The arrest was made by the Madera Sheriff’s Office late in the evening.

According to the report, Arreola was working as a laborer, but where he was working, or whether his labor was agricultural or otherwise, is unspecified. What is known, however, is that this is not his first arrest. Records show that Arreola was arrested in May of 2011 for drunk and disorderly conduct. The name of his alleged victim, or what he supposedly took, has not been released.

Currently, Arreola is being held in the Madera County Jail on a bail of $1,030,000. If convicted, he could face 25 years to life in prison.
