SAN JACINTO – Three suspects believed to be involved in a home invasion robbery that left the home owner wounded were arrest at two separate residences.

After receiving reports of a home invasion robbery on February 8, 2015, in the early morning hours, San Jacinto Police responded to a call in the 1300 block of Avenida Garnette, San Jacinto.  Authorities found the homeowner was suffering from an injury believed to be from a gunshot.

Other witnesses to the incident reported hearing gunshots being fired as well as an argument between three other neighborhood residents, which police reported was related to the incident. Witness reports led officers to a house located in the 1200 block of Da Vinci, San Jacinto.

The house was surrounded by law enforcement from the San Jacinto Police department and Hemet Sheriff’s Station, to include a K-9 officer and the Sheriff’s helicopter.  The subject did not respond to law enforcement commands and the K-9 was deployed, finding the subject inside one of the bedrooms.

Twenty-year-old Edward Rudolfo Ybarra, of San Jacinto was arrested there and booked for investigation of conspiracy to commit a felony, home invasion robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and residential burglary, jail records show. His bail is $150,000.

The investigation then led officers to the alleged location of two other suspects at a house in the 1300 block of Avenida Garnette.  One of the suspects was arrested when he tried to flee the premises, but the other suspect remained inside. The house was surrounded utilizing the same resources in the previous arrest as well as the Sheriff’s SWAT. After a lengthy standoff, a diversionary device was deployed causing the suspect to exit the house without any incident.

Corey Nelson (23 years old) and a male juvenile also from the San Jacinto were arrested at the scene on charges related to the home invasion.
