Police: San Jose Man Arrested for 2014 Murder

SAN JOSE — The San Jose Police Department reported the arrest of a suspect wanted in connection to a homicide back in 2014.

According to Sgt. Enrique Garcia, police received a tip at about 1:40 A.M. on January 11, 2014, about an unresponsive person seen on the sidewalk somewhere in the 400 block of Willow Glen.

Once on scene, SJPD officers discovered 46-year-old Anthony Thompson dead from at least one stab wound.

Further investigation eventually led police to a name: 20-year-old Geno Leslie Pastore.

According to Sgt. Garcia, the exact circumstances and motive are still under investigation.

Pastore was arrested in San Jose on January 28, 2016, and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for Thompson’s murder. He is currently held without bail and is set to appear in court on February 5.
