San Jose PD Calls on Public to Help Identify Grand Theft Suspects

SAN JOSE — The San Jose Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying several shoplifting suspects shown in the surveillance video below.

According to San Jose Police Sargent Enrique Garcia, four male suspects entered the Nike Store at 1300 Saratoga Avenue in San Jose at approximately 7:15 PM on December 20. The suspects gathered several items, including various types of shoes and clothing items, and left without paying.

They were then seen leaving the area in a bronze-colored Hyundai.

Because the theft is considered part of a larger coordinated operation, the San Jose Police are asking the public’s help in identifying the suspects before they continue to target other stores in the area. An incident involving multiple theft suspects also poses a greater threat to store employees should they find themselves in confrontation with the suspects.

The suspects in this case can be seen in the video wearing black hoodies and hats in order to hide their faces from cameras and employees. San Jose Police are describing them as adult males in their early 20s.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Sergeant Mike Montonye of the San Jose Police Department’s Burglary Unit at (408) 277-4401.
