Monterey Doctor to gets 180 days in jail, 3 years probation for stalking
SALINAS — The Monterey County District Attorney’s Office has announced the sentencing on Wednesday of 58-year-old Dr. May Kay Brewester to 180 days in jail and 3 years probation. She has also been ordered to stay away from both of her victims for 10 years.

Dr. Brewster, a local obstetrician and gynecologist who practiced in Monterey, was sentenced by Judge Mark Hood after he rejected her request to reduce her three felonies to misdemeanors.
Her odd behavior began after she had separated from her significant other amidst allegations of infidelity, beginning with Brewster destroying some of his property at work and sending him harassing, profanity-laden texts throughout the night.
Things got progressively worse as she began to deface his mail, vandalize his vehicle, poison his plants, and even resort to physical assault on occasion.
She was also caught on surveillance footage pouring acid in his alleged mistress’ mailbox and poisoning her lawn, thousands of dollars worth of damage.
It all came to a head when she broke into his house and released three rats and a 4-foot python in his bedroom, knowing he was afraid of snakes. She was interrupted when the housekeeper found the rats in his bed and called the Sheriff’s Office.
The housekeeper also discovered the python lying on a curtain rod while she and deputies were cleaning the house.
