Petaluma PD Releases Burglary Photos of Suspect and Suspect Vehicle

PETALUMA – According to a Petaluma Police Department (PPD) Advisory, Officers were called to Friedman’s Home Improvement Center shortly after 12pm on Tuesday, January 12th, on the report of a theft.

When Officers arrived on scene at 429 North McDowell Blvd. they were told by store employees that a suspect had entered the store and loaded a gas powered generator into a shopping cart. He then exited the store without paying for the item. The suspect then got into a waiting vehicle and left the area.

During the investigation, it was determined that the incident had been captured via the store’s video surveillance system. The attached images are frame shots taken from the video footage.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 30 years old, 5’9″ tall and around 200 lbs. Dark mustache and beard. Last seen wearing a grey shirt, blue jeans, a dark hat, and tan work boots.

The suspect vehicle was described as an early 2000s teal colored minivan with no license plates. The rear window of the van had white tape affixed to the bottom right corner.
