Commercial Burglar Busted

The Grover Beach Police have a man in custody for allegedly burglarizing a commercial business.

According to GBPD, they received a call regarding suspicious activity around 10:39 p.m. last Tuesday.
The business was located on the 200 block of Rockaway Avenue.

While officers performed a security check of the business, officers determined a burglary was in progress.
GBPD, with the assistance of the Arroyo Grande Police Department, Pismo Beach Police Department K9, and California State Parks, established a perimeter around the business.

A suspect was seen exiting the business and jumping into a neighboring yard where he was eventually taken into custody by officers. The suspect was identified as Patrick N. Ivey, 23, of Grover Beach.

It is unknown the value of damage done by the suspect to the business.

Ivey was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail for commercial burglary, possession of stolen property and possession of brass knuckles.
