Police Search for Two Suspects in Two Elk Grove Crimes

ELK GROVE — Police are asking the public for help in identifying a man who robbed a bank in Elk Grove on Friday, December 18, 2015.

The robber entered the Chase Bank at 8451 Elk Grove Florin Road at approximately 2:00 p.m. and demanded money, saying he was armed. The teller told police that she did not see a weapon.

The man is described as African American and approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall and about 220 pounds. He was wearing a beige beanie cap with a dark rim, a blue windbreaker, a black, hooded sweatshirt, gray sweat pants, black gloves and athletic shoes.

He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

Also in Elk Grove, police are continuing their search for a man who attempted to sexually assault a woman on a city street.

Police released a sketch of the suspect (left) on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 who is accused of approaching a 64-year-old woman, who was walking near Alpinespring Way and Meadowspring Way on December 8 at approximately 1:30 p.m.

The woman said the attacker, whom she described as a young African American male, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds, pushed her to the ground from behind and tried to pull off her leggings. She screamed as he began to pull down his sweatpants, causing him to flee.

The victim suffered minor injuries that did not require hospitalization.
