Commercial Burglar Snagged

The Paso Robles Police arrested a man on Friday, November 13, for allegedly participating in a string of commercial burglaries.

According to PRPD, the suspect is identified as Carlos Aguirre Camacho, 29, of Paso Robles. Investigators state the first burglary occurred on November 6 at a local restaurant where Camacho is suspected of breaking into the business through a skylight on the roof.

The other three burglaries were reported to the PRPD over the next week. The last one occurred on the 12th. Police state all of the businesses were closed at the time of the thefts and the point of entry was through roof top access points.

Businesses reported the theft of cash, cellular phones and other merchandise. Total losses are estimated at approximately $20,000. Investigators discovered Camacho had previously worked for two of the four businesses and was on probation in San Luis Obispo County.

Officers contacted Camacho the next day near his Paso Robles residence and located him with merchandise from the November 12 burglary.

Subsequent to his arrest, Camacho admitted responsibility for the other burglaries. Camacho was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on four counts of commercial burglary,
