Petaluma PD Shuts Down Drug House

PETALUMA – According to a Petaluma Police Department (PPD) Advisory, a search warrant was issued at a residence in the 800 block of Rancho Way in Petaluma on Thursday, September 24th at approximately 5 pm.

Residents on the street had been complaining for some time about suspected drug activity taking place there. The search warrant took place as a result of long-term efforts to address the concerns of the neighborhood. Also troubling is that the home is right around the corner and in easy walking distance to La Tercera Elementary School.

Two residents of the home were arrested for violation of section 11366 of the Health and Safety Code, maintaining a place to sell illegal/controlled substances. Heroin, drug paraphernalia, OxyContin, other prescribed medications were among the drugs and related items seized at the home.

A cane sword, several firearms, ammunition, and high-capacity magazines were also taken from the scene and recovered into evidence.

The suspects have been identified as 40-year-old Steven Philip Johnson of Petaluma and 50-year-old Gregory Wayne Wickham of Petaluma. Johnson and Wickham were booked at the Sonoma County Jail.
