San Pedro saleswoman and mechanic arrested for selling drugs

HAWTHORNE — When it comes to two people fixing up sales of drugs, one interesting pairing might be a mechanic and a sales person.

Charles Franklin Womack, 44, and Jennifer Travis, 43, were arrested by Hawthorne police officers on Tuesday, May 12 at approximately 8:18 a.m. along the 1000 block of Centre Street in San Pedro. The two were picked up at or near Travis’s residence on the same street, and according to police records about a mile from Womack’s residence on 2nd Street in the same harbor city.

Womack, a mechanic, was charged with having three warrants. Two were issued by Hawthorne PD for felony possession of a controlled substance (11377(A)HS) and possession of paraphernalia for use with a controlled substance (11364HS). The third warrant was from Los Angeles PD for failure to appear (40508(A)VC).

Travis, a sales person, had similar warrants for felony possession and possession of paraphernalia, also from Hawthorne PD.

Bail for Womack was set at $11,266; bail for Travis was set at $10,250.
