At about 10:30 pm on Wednesday evening, neighbors living near Tempo Park reported hearing a man calling for help from the park. The park is located just north of Sunrise Mall and the Sunrise Gold Course, between Sunrise Blvd. and Fair Oaks Blvd. As police were responding to the call to do a welfare check, an additional call came in indicating the victim was knocking on a door for help. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. He was rushed into surgery, but is expected to survive.

Partida is being charged with attempted murder and mayhem, and will be booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail.
