Man Arrested for Child Porn

The Paso Robles police have a man in custody for possession of child pornography.

According to the PRPD, they received information a few weeks ago stating a suspect, Steven Martin Lindhorst, 51, of Paso Robles was in possession of child pornography on his personal computer.

PRPD detectives began an investigation into the claim and obtained a search warrant to look into Lindhort’s computer. They assisted by the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office Crime Lab that discovered numerous digital images of suspected child pornography on the computer.
Investigators stated some of the images and videos appeared to have been manufactured by Lindhorst.

Detectives requested and obtained a second search warrant for Lindhorst’s residence where anther computer was discovered. Investigators discovered additional digital images of child pornography on the second hard drive. In total, investigators discovered approximately 24,000 images and 200 videos with most of them containing images of pubescent children engaged in sexual acts.

Lindhorst was then placed under arrest via an arrest warrant for several felony violations. He was later transported to SLO County Jail for felony lewd act with a child under 14 years of age, felony possession of child pornography, felony possession of explicit child pornography and misdemeanor posting intimate photos of another without consent. His bail was set at $160,000.
According to PRPD, detectives have identified and contacted fourteen victims.
