Sacramento Duo Caught Passing Illegal $100 bills at Vacaville Kohl’s

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me, the old saying goes; and employees at Kohl’s, 570 Orange Drive, took it to heart on the afternoon of November 13.

An alert Kohl’s cashier noticed that a $100 bill used in a transaction with a male customer appeared “wrong.” When the man returned with a female accomplice and both paid for more merchandise with allegedly bogus $100 bills, employees called Vacaville police.

Officers arrived as the pair were exiting the department store with their illegally purchased items. Arrested were Lang William Crisostomo, 42, and Diana Vega, 31, who are married and live together in Sacramento.

Investigators later discovered 24 $100 bills that could be counterfeit, along with methamphetamine, a dagger and a variety of stolen property. Crisostomo and Vega are now lodged in Solano County Jail.
