Roseville PD Makes Assault Case Arrest

An evening assault in the Central Roseville area north of the railyard led to a victim in the hospital and a suspect under arrest, according to an official weekly crime report issued by the Roseville Police Department.

Joshua Harper, 27, of Roseville, was reportedly arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, parole violation and other related charges.

According to Roseville PD, at about 10:30 pm on Sunday, November 2, officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving weapons in the area of Main Street and Alta Avenue. According to witnesses, a man had seen a stranger attempt to open the door of his pick-up truck in the 300 block of Main Street. When the man confronted the stranger, the stranger reportedly hit the man in the face with a walking cane.

The victim was reportedly taken to the hospital for treatment of facial injuries.

Harper, who is listed as a fast food worker, was arrested by Roseville Police earlier this year, on June 23, on charges of grand theft of lost property, and a parole violation.
