Two Men and A Burglary

INGLEWOOD, CA—A long commute can kill you—or a long commute to kill?

It may have gone either way, but before anyone wound up dead in any way, Chris Green, 21, and Torie Deon McVay, 29, were in police custody and charged with a great number of weapons and related charges. The two men were arrested at the corner of Hyde Park and West Street near the border of Inglewood and Los Angeles on Monday, October 20 at approximately 3 p.m.

Green, from Van Nuys, was charged with carrying a loaded firearm (25850(A)PC), carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle (25400(A)1PC, receiving known stolen property (496(A)PC), possession of burglary tools (466PC), burglary (459PC), false identification (148.9(A)PC) and owning/possessing a firearm by a convicted felon (29800(A)1PC). He also had a bench warrant from L.A. Superior Court for a prior burglary charge.

McVay, from Lancaster, was charged with receiving known stolen property (496(A)PC), possession of burglary tools (466PC), unlawful use/etc. of I.D. card (13004(F)VC), burglary (459PC), carrying a loaded firearm (25850(A)PC), carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle (25400(A)1PC and false identification (148.9(A)PC). He also had two warrants: one from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) for owning/possessing a firearm by a convicted felon (29800(A)1PC) and one from the California Department of Corrections (CDC), Parole Region IV, for violation of parole: felony (3056PC).

Bail for Green was set at a cumulative $180,500; bail for McVay was set at $406,550.

It is unknown if their next commute will be diesel therapy.
