Castro nightclub shooting leads to three arrested

SAN FRANCISCO – Two male suspects from Oakland and a San Francisco woman were arrested early Thursday morning for their involvement in an argument and shooting outside a Castro nightclub, according to police.

Jason Hill, 33, Terrance Hill, 29, and Ava Sasso, 25, were all arrested on assault with a deadly weapon charges, police said Thursday.

Police reported that the argument, which may have been over another woman, originated inside a nightclub in the area of 18th and Collingwood streets, but continued outside about 2:45 a.m. between the three suspects and a 38-year-old man.

The verbal altercation escalated to a point when one of the suspects punched the victim, according to police. The victim then got into his vehicle to get away from the suspects when one of the three allegedly fired a handgun into the victim’s car. However, the victim was not hit or injured by the shot.

After receiving reports of gunfire, police arrived on scene and stopped a vehicle containing two of the suspects involved in the shooting. Police then recovered a firearm from the car of the two suspects.

Jason Hill was also booked on vandalism and firearm violations, while Terrance Hill was also charged with public intoxication. Sasso was also booked on public intoxication, as well as charges of assault on a peace officer and resisting arrest.
