Female Student Charged with Rape, Violence

HAWTHORNE, CA—Southern California universities have been in a contentious state of late dealing with administrations that have been accused of systemically ignoring campus rape and stalking.

Porche Marjone Corley, 27, however, appears to be an anomaly among the statistics of many recent rape cases. To date, all known reported cases have been allegedly carried out by males.

The 135-lb., 5’5”-tall woman was arrested by Hawthorne Police Department officers and charged with the single violation of rape/etc., in concert with force/violence (264.1PC). The Hawthorne resident was arrested on Thursday, July 31 at approximately 4:15 a.m. in an apartment on the 13000 Kornblum Avenue in Hawthorne.

Recent cases of allegedly conspiratorial rape cover-ups on university and college campuses have involved administrations from University of Southern California (USC) and Occidental College (Oxy). The federal government–by way of the U.S. Department of Education–has opened investigations into the allegations.

It is unknown, however, at what school she is a student nor whether the victim was a male or female.

Bail was set at $250,000.
