Methamphetamine and Marijuana Discovered During Search

BAKERSFIELD — Officers from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics division arrested a 33-year old woman on Tuesday morning on Kincaid Street.

Monica Valente of Bakersfield, was booked into the Sheriff’s Central Receiving Facility Jail where on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sales and maintaining a house for drug sales, cultivation of marijuana, and an outstanding felony warrant.

According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, officers served a search warrant on the 100 Block of Kincaid Street in Bakersfield, at around 7:30 a.m. on July 16. During their search of the residence, officers made contact with Valente who was wanted on a prior possession of controlled substance charge.

As officers continued with their search of the residence, they said located just under two ounces of suspected methamphetamine, evidence of sales of a controlled substance and 21 marijuana plants.
