Women Dies from Stab Wounds in South Sac

SACRAMENTO—Sacramento Police responded to initial reports of a shooting on Tuesday morning, July 8, and found a woman lying on the sidewalk suffering from stab wounds.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, they received reports of an incident at approximately 7:50 a.m. in the area of 24th Street and Meadowview Road. The victim had been stabbed in the neck multiple times.

The woman, believed to be in her 40s, was rushed to a local hospital where she later died.

Homicide detectives, along with crime scene investigators, were called to the scene. The killing does not appear to be random. Investigators believe the suspect and victim were known to each other and could be the result of a domestic dispute. No suspect is in custody at this time.
