Two Juveniles Arrested for 48th Street Homicide

Officers from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department have arrested two juveniles today, Tuesday, June 10, in connection to a shooting yesterday in Sacramento that left one dead and one injured, according to an official press release. Both the male juvenile suspects — whose identities cannot be released due to their age — were reportedly booked into the Sacramento County Juvenile Hall early this morning.

According to Sac Sheriff, on Monday, June 9 at 12:30 pm, deputies reportedly responded to multiple calls from citizens reporting shots fired in the 4800 block of 48th Street. Upon arrival, deputies reportedly found two males in their 20s had been shot. Both shooting victims were reportedly transported to a local hospital. One victim was reportedly pronounced dead at the hospital, and the second victim reportedly sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Numerous witnesses had reportedly seen two Hispanic male suspects flee the scene on bicycles. Detectives reportedly were able to detain both juvenile suspects after the shooting.

A motive for the shooting and homicide is reportedly unknown at this time, and Sheriff’s homicide detectives are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the Sheriff’s Department at 916-874-5115.

it was probably self defense those islanders like to rob and bully people with there guns look closely before you give away life sentences because legal or not there is a stand your ground law and IF those boys are involved and did not have a gun they might be the ones dead laying on the ground. they were not the only ones shooting so make sure it was there bullet that caused the homicide and make sure it was or wasn’t self defense those islanders are not perfect either they run in a gang as well.. look at the age difference between the 4 victims an suspects..

self defense is what I would call this case because there is no motive . no plan . lets say the two were on there way home and had been approached by two islanders and the 4 exchanged words then gun fire being that this is the islanders area or “HOOD” that can happen to any one black white or Hispanic but luckily those young teens were able to defend there self’s if they were even involved

    Aron,
Your just another ignorant person judging ! If you read the articles Roy was an athlete not a gang member who came to the us to better his life and push his athlete career. As for the young boys who had the guns are validated gang members,IF they had exchanged words dont you think things would have been diffrent? Regardless, your a juvenille with a gun and you killed somebody! Justice will be served ! So instead of judging islanders , put yourself in Roys parents shoes cause your just making a self defense story in your head wether it is a “hood” or not there are plenty of mixed people , of many races that arent “getto” or “gangmembers” this s*** happens everywhere in america hood or not.
