Sheriff’s Office Search for Counterfeiters

Two Businesses in Cambria hit

The San Luis Sheriff’s Office is looking for multiple suspects who were involved in passing counterfeit money to two businesses in Cambria last Sunday.

According to the SLO Sheriff’s Office, they received a call to two Cambria businesses, an antique store and a gas station. Both reported receiving counterfeit $100 bills from a group of individuals.

The victims say a man and two women entered the antique store within minutes of each other and separately purchased a small item. Each paid for the item with a counterfeit $100 bill for a total of $300. Investigators say a short time later the same three suspects, along with another female, entered the gas station and passed another $100 counterfeit bill.

The first suspect is described as a white male adult, 20-25, wearing a white t-shirt, black baseball-style hat with flat-red brim, star tattoo on left hand and another tattoo on right arm. The second suspect is described as a white female adult, 20-25, years old, brown hair and dark complexion wearing a pink shirt and denim shorts.

The third suspect is a white female adult, 20-25, blonde hair, wearing a striped multi-colored dress. The fourth suspect is a white female adult, 25-30, with blonde hair.
