Police Warn of Curb Scammers

Police Warn of Curb Scammers

The Paso Robles police are on the lookout for scammers who are allegedly telling citizens they are city employees.

According to the police, a crew of men is going through the community offering to paint address numbers on the front of residential curbs for a fee. Members of the crew are going door to door telling residents they are city employees and need to collect a fee for painting the curb.

Police say some of these organizations are legit and have licenses, but are not city employees.

The crew is painting the curb and then requesting a fee from the resident.

Police warn residents if someone paints their curb and then requests payment to contact them. Additionally, the resident is under no obligation to pay for uncontracted services.

Police ask if this activity is observed, for residents to please contact the Paso Robles police at 237-6464.
