Fresno pot farmer sought

Fresno County authorities are searching for a man who was running a locked marijuana grow guarded by pit bulls.

Sheriff’s detectives received a tip on Tuesday that 31-year-old Mathew Crippen, who lives on West Annadale Avenue, offered to pay several men to trim weed plants on his property.

Detectives stormed the property and seized over 500 plants, nine pounds of processed weed, 10 rifles and a handgun, according to reports.

Crippen was nowhere to be found, and is actively being sought by authorities. He faces marijuana cultivation, possession and weapons related charges.
