According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, the search was the result of several citizen complaints with information relating to the sales and use of drugs at a home in the 200 block of Maple Avenue, in the City of Shafter.

Arriving at around 6 p.m. on Feb. 20, CAL-MMET officers said they found all five subjects at the residence.

“During their search of the home, officers found illegal narcotics and narcotics paraphernalia,” Ray Pruitt, spokesperson for the Kern County Sheriff’s Office said. “One of the subjects attempted to flee the scene, fighting with officers before being taken into custody.”
