San Jose police seek wanted suspects in string of vicious attacks

SAN JOSE – On October 27, 2013, three suspects committed an armed carjacking and pistol whipped the victim.  The Hispanic male suspects taunted victims as they used another victim’s vehicle to commit several more armed robberies of pedestrians in a short time later.  During the robberies the suspected gunman pistol whipped the victims and then took their personal property.

According to San Jose Officer Albert Morales, “The San Jose Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating suspects involved in a recent series of armed robberies in San Jose”.

The time of the robberies occurred during a two-hour robbery spree that started around 3 am near 2460 Fontaine Road, in San Jose. The suspects then committed another robbery not far from the first scene near the Capitol Expressway/King Road business district. But the robberies didn’t stop there.

Another robbery occurred at 2155 Story Road. And within an hour, another robbery, across town in downtown San Jose, occurred at 990 N. 17th Street. A few minutes later the suspects attacked again on 30 South 11th Street. They apparently drove around and attacked a sixth victim located at 795 N. 13th Street. The robberies seem to have ended with a final incident around 5:00 AM at 1679 Monterey Road in San Jose.

A black Cadillac Escalade and another dark four door vehicle were seen during the robberies. According to authorities, “At least 3 Hispanic males are involved in the above robberies,” Officer Morales said.

The police are asking the public for any information that may lead them to the gunman pictured in the above photo with the black jacket and red sleeves. He is also seen in the surveillance video attached here:

The suspects involved in the robberies are considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Persons with information regarding this incident are urged to contact Detective Todd Jennings of the San Jose Police Department’s Robbery Unit at (408)277-4166.
