Probation Check nets Six for Fraudulent Checks

Six Suspects Were in the House

HOLLISTER—The Hollister Police Department and the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office conducted a probation search at a parolee’s home, and arrested five other individuals on forgery charges and drug charges.

On January 7, at 1:27 pm., Hollister Police Department and San Benito County Sheriff’s Office paid a visit to Katrina Folsom’s residence at the 1000 block of Meridan Street on a probationer search.  Police contacted a total of nine people at the residence and ended up arresting six of them. The other three were children.

28-year-old Folsom, who lives at the house, was arrested for being in possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and being in possession of fictitious and forged checks.  33-year-old Frank Martinez was arrested for the same charges.

Lara Dunning, a 45-year-old resident of Hollister, was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of forged and fictitious checks. 32-year-old Randy Littleton of Hollister was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of narcotics and possession of marijuana for sale.

28-year-old Ernie Alarcon and 29-year-old Jody Bravo-Martinez were found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. The three children of Martinez and Folsom were placed in protective custody with Child Protective Services.

Authorities added the charges of child endangerment in addition to the other charges to both parents.  Folsom’s probation Officer was contacted and her probation was violated.  All six subjects were transported and booked at the San Benito County Jail.

“Suspects Martinez, Folsom, and Dunning all possessed similar fictitious checks.”  Hollister Police Sergeant Ray Celano wrote in a press release.
