Man arrested for exposing himself at a Taft park

TAFT — A 37-year-old Taft man was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly exposing himself to children at a park in Taft.

Abdulhalim Assad Moshen of Taft was booked into the Kern County Sheriff’s Central Receiving Facility on one count of annoying/molesting children.

According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to Ford City Park in Taft at around 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 21, to report of a male adult who witnesses told deputies, was seen lying on the grass masturbating, near park playground equipment where children were playing.

After a quick search of the area, deputies said they located the Moshen seated inside a vehicle which was parked nearby.

Moshen was found possessing a cell phone with digital images corroborating the witness account.
