Dixon Car Burglar Caught Red-Handed

On routine patrol, a Dixon Police officer pulled in as usual to the parking lot at the Lincoln Creek Apartments in the 1300 block of North Lincoln Street at about 1:20am on the morning of December 27.

As the officer made the rounds of the quiet apartment grounds, he came upon James Michael Dean, 39, a resident of Dixon. Dean was discovered standing next to a vehicle, the dashboard of which had been ripped to shreds. Under the ruined dash was a hole where the stereo used to be.

Dean was arrested without incident and lodged in the Solano County Jail. He is charged with possession of burglary tools (466 PC), vandalism (594 PC) and vehicle tampering (10852 CVC).
