Dojo owner molested students, authorities say

The owner of a San Diego area karate dojo, which hosted sleepover events for young students, is being accused of child molestation.

Juan Flores, 38, was arrested last Thursday outside Z-Ultimate Studio in Tierrasanta, where he is also lead instructor.

The investigation was prompted when a male student at the dojo went to police about the alleged sexual abuse. Investigators say there may be at least one more victim.

Flores faces up to 15 charges, including lewd acts with a child and oral copulation, according to the district attorney’s office.

Flores organized events called “Ninja Nights,” where students of the dojo would sleep over and play video games, according to reports.
