Facebook Post Leads to Gang Member’s Arrest

FRESNO – A Fresno Bulldog gang member was arrested after posting comments promoting his gang on a news story and on his Facebook page.

Fresno police officer Brian Freer was reading through online comments of a story posted on local news station ABC30.com earlier this week about Fresno police targeting gangs in a new operation. Freer noticed that one of the comments promoted the Bulldog gang’s McKenzie Street faction.

The comment was posted through Alan Duncan Jr.’s Facebook page. Freer was able to access the Facebook page, where he saw additional comments promoting the Bulldog gang, as well as posts about narcotic activity, according to authorities.

Using the Fresno Police Department database, Freer learned that Duncan was listed on felony probation and was classified as a high risk offender. Police served a search warrant at his home in the 3800 block of East Ashlan Avenue and discovered methamphetamine, marijuana and narcotic paraphernalia, authorities said.

Duncan was booked into Fresno County Jail for probation violation and narcotic charges.
