She Works Hard for The Money—or Else!

HAWTHORNE, CA—It was an inside job on her man that put her back behind bars—but this time it was jail!

Looking down the 4700 block of W.141st street

Mary Joan Xa, 43, a bona-fide bank teller, was picked up by Hawthorne police on Monday, November 18 at approximately 7 p.m.

The five-foot-tall woman, whose pithy weight of 140 pounds would to some seem a pixie-like weight, was charged with “force or ADW not fir” along the 4700 block of West 141 Street. The charge is best described as “use of force or Assault With a Deadly Weapon but Not a Firearm.” Nevertheless, Xa was hauled in not half a block from her Hawthorne residence for the aforementioned charge as well as for a battery charge regarding her spouse or ex-spouse.

The feisty female was put behind a set of bars from which she could not make change for the cumulative charges that amounted to $80,000.

Should she make bail, it is advised that one not ask her to make change.
